This method needs level 75 Farming, and the start is level 1.

Cost at today's Grand Exchange guide prices (as of 3 November 2026). Anything sold counts the 2% GE tax.

Each one counted here is one patch: planted, grown, its health checked, and for fruit trees and bushes picked as many times as the seed's page says. What it grows (logs, fruit, berries) is not sold here, so nothing is taken off the cost for it.

No XP boost is counted (no outfit, aura, bonus XP or portable), so with one you will need fewer.

No time is shown: a patch takes hours to grow, and many grow at once, so the time is not a number of actions.

Where these numbers come from

Every method, level, XP figure and recipe is the RuneScape Wiki's, read on 3 November 2026: the list is the Wiki's own Farming calculator's, and each method's numbers were checked against a second Wiki page (the seed's own page) before going in. Each method links to the page its numbers came from.

This page has only crops whose XP the Wiki states as a fixed sum: most trees, fruit trees, bushes and a few others. Herbs, allotments and hops give XP for each item picked, and how many a patch gives varies, so they are left out and listed below.

61 of the Wiki's methods left out, because its pages disagree about them or do not state them

Showing one of these would mean picking which Wiki page to believe, or using a number no page states, so they are left out until the Wiki settles them.

Prices are the Grand Exchange guide prices, as the RuneScape Wiki's exchange data gives them. The page keeps them for up to about seven hours, and every answer says the date of the prices it used. For options this page does not have, use the Wiki's Farming calculator.
