The Codex is a free, unofficial RuneScape 3 stats tracker made by one person. Using it means accepting the terms below. They're short and written to be read.
What The Codex is
A fan-made tool that reads public RuneScape data and presents it back with tracking, charts and recommendations. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Jagex Ltd. RuneScape and RuneScape 3 are trademarks of Jagex Ltd. All game content and game data belong to Jagex.
It's free, and provided as-is
The Codex costs nothing and comes with no warranty or uptime guarantee. It depends on Jagex's public APIs, which can change, rate-limit or go down without notice — when they do, parts of the site stop working until they come back. Data may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Don't make decisions you can't afford to get wrong based on it, and always treat the in-game numbers as the truth.
Recommendations, projections, quest requirements and readiness indicators are best-effort guidance, not authoritative advice. Requirements are verified against the RuneScape Wiki where possible, but game updates can outdate them.
Fair use
Please don't:
- Scrape, hammer or automate the site in ways that degrade it for others (rate limits are in place and enforced).
- Claim a RuneScape account that isn't yours.
- Submit deliberately false clan names, price reports or feedback.
- Use the site to harass anyone, or to attempt to identify or track a person off-game.
- Try to break, probe or bypass access controls — if you find a hole, report it instead; that's genuinely appreciated.
Accounts and access can be blocked for abuse. Community submissions can be corrected or removed at any time.
Your account and content
Signing in with Discord is optional. You're responsible for your Discord account and for any webhook URL you provide — anyone holding that URL can post to that channel, so treat it as a secret. You can remove notifications, un-claim accounts, or request full deletion at any time; see the privacy policy.
By submitting community content (clan names, price reports, feedback) you agree it can be displayed publicly on the site.
Player data on the site
The Codex only ever displays information Jagex already makes public. If you'd prefer your account not be tracked or shown, ask via the feedback form or the Discord server and it will be removed and blocked from future lookups.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, The Codex and its author aren't liable for any loss arising from use of the site, including lost time, lost in-game progress or wealth, or decisions made from inaccurate data. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still stands.
Changes
These terms may change; the date at the top will change with them. Continuing to use the site means accepting the current version. Questions go to the feedback form.
