XP race

Races

An XP race for your whole clan, or for any list of names. One link to share. No sign-in.

What a race is

You pick a clan, a start and how long it runs. Everyone in the clan is in from the moment it starts, including people whose RuneMetrics profile is private. Nobody types their name and nobody signs up. You get one link to paste in clan chat and a nine-digit code in case you ever want to rename, shorten or delete the race.

How the numbers work

The site reads the clan's member list straight from Jagex, the same list the clan pages use. It gives one Overall XP figure per member. A player's score is how much that figure has grown since the race started. In-game, clan XP counts when a player logs out or hops worlds, so a friend mid-session can look behind until they log off.

What counts from when

The starting line is drawn the second a race starts, so XP earned before then does not count. The page reads the clan list again whenever someone opens it and ten minutes have passed, and it always says when it last looked. When the clock runs out the standings freeze on the last reading taken before the end, the winner gets a crown, and the link keeps working for a year.

Or a list of names

You can also race a typed list of up to 50 names from any clan. That kind can count Overall XP, levels gained or one skill, such as a Fishing week, and it is read from Jagex's public hiscores, everyone at the same moment. A name that is not on the hiscores cannot be read, and the page says which ones.
