What's decided

What Jagex has announced, as its posts stood on 11 October 2026.

  • Reignited is a new, permanent character type.
  • Launch date: 2 December 2026, in one update with "The Adventure Guide" and a remastered early game. Jagex has not given a launch hour.
  • It has its own HiScores.
  • It has its own Grand Exchange. Reignited characters trade only with each other.
  • Boss instances are separate.
  • Both types of character can be in the same clans.
  • Access to members' worlds is free for the first ten days, 2 to 12 December.
  • Hall of Legends: world-first achievements get a permanent statue. The feats are not listed yet.
  • Reignited characters cannot buy Radiant Stars, which are paid progression.

What Jagex is still decidingUndecided

On 6 and 9 October 2026 Jagex said it is re-evaluating Reignited. It is exploring the ideas below without promising any of them, so nothing in this list is decided. It promised another update in the week of 12 October.

  • Letting an existing character "Reignite" inside its existing membership, and "flip between your Veteran & Reignited versions of the same character".
  • Cosmetic rewards for veteran characters only.
  • Shortening or dropping Reignited-only worlds.
  • Relaxing cross-play later.

Reignited on the Codex

The Codex plans to track Reignited characters once Jagex opens their HiScores. Until then there is nothing to read. When this page was last checked, on 11 October 2026, no Reignited HiScores table existed. There is no date for this, because it depends on what Jagex publishes and when.

Not known yet

  • Where the Reignited HiScores will be, and what they will look like.
  • Whether a Reignited character shares its name with a veteran one.
  • Whether there will be Ironman variants.
  • How RuneMetrics will treat a Reignited character.

What works today

None of this waits on Reignited. It is what the Codex already does today. Whether it can read a Reignited character depends on what Jagex publishes, which is not known yet.
