How to Track Your RuneScape 3 XP and Progress
Watching your numbers climb is half the fun of RuneScape 3. But the in-game interface only shows you a snapshot of right now — it won't tell you how much XP you gained this week, how fast you're moving toward your next 99, or when you're likely to hit a milestone. This guide covers how to track all of that.
Where your stats come from
Every RS3 account exposes its skills, levels, and XP through Jagex's public RuneMetrics profile, as long as your profile isn't set to private. That's the same data the hiscores use, and it's what any lookup tool reads — no login or add-on required.
To make your profile public: open RuneMetrics in-game or on the RuneScape website and set your profile visibility to public. Private profiles can't be looked up by anyone.
Tracking gains over time
A single snapshot can't show a trend. The Codex takes a daily snapshot of every tracked player, so once your account has been looked up it starts building a history. From there you can see:
- XP gained over the last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or since tracking began
- Which skills you've been training and how fast
- Projected dates for your next levels and 200M XP goals, based on your recent pace
The more days of history an account has, the sharper those projections get.
Getting milestone alerts
If you'd rather be told when something happens than check manually, you can connect a Discord webhook to your profile and get a ping whenever you hit a level 99, a 120, a 200M, a new cape, or complete a quest. It's optional and takes about a minute to set up.
Claiming your account
Claiming your RSN links your alts together and unlocks personal milestone alerts. It's free and only takes a Discord sign-in — your account then shows up under "your accounts" for quick access.
